A few hours after crossing the Colorado border we arrived at the state park only to find that the campground was booked solid. Seeing it was Monday I was quite surprised but we decided to check out the falls for a few hours anyway. For this late in the season the waterfalls were moving pretty good and the late afternoon light really made it special. As the sun began to set we left the park and thought about camping at the Rifle Gap Reservoir but decided to head straight to Pueblo, CO instead. Some five hours later we arrived in Pueblo around midnight and quickly went to bed. The last two photos were from my friend’s parents’ house in Pueblo West. After a nice breakfast in the morning I headed back home in Arvada. Overall it was a great trip and I was glad to see my friend once again. In total the trip took some 32hrs of driving, going a distance of 1,763 miles.
