An amazing sunrise greeted me this morning on the Greenbelt Plateau trail in Southern Boulder County. With a slight gap of clear skies above the Eastern horizon, the sun lit things up nicely before getting blocked from the extensive cloud cover.

Fresh Outting
Once again its been quite awhile since I got out and photographed anything nature inspired. But luckily before work today I woke up well before the sunrise and headed to the Greenbelt Plateau trail in Boulder County. It was a biting 15F deg outside this morning but the relatively clear skies, deep snow, and setting moon made for a memorable experience.

Warm Breeze
Having made it through another week of work, I decided to take it easy this morning and take a few photos South of Boulder. The dense cloud cover out East blocked any chance of having a brilliant sunrise. But even so, the morning was beautiful and in many ways rather warm considering the last few days.

Colors
Noticing the hillsides around Eldorado Canyon turning red yesterday I decided to start the day with an early morning hike along the Homestead Trail. Located just East of the canyon the trail offers amazing views of the Flatirons and South Boulder Creek. The colors were just amazing and as the sun began to rise they started to pop even more.

Before heading into work I caught the sunrise along South Boulder Creek near the Mesa Trailhead. Thinking it wouldn’t be too cold this dawn I was surprised to find myself in a stiff cold wind. Greenbelt Plateau
Prior to work this morning I caught the sunrise along the Greenbelt Plateau Trail in Boulder County. For this most part it was a rather typical early morning outting, complete with wildlife sightings and great scenery.
