I awoke from a dream at 4:30am this morning and decided to just stay up. After getting ready for the day I drove up to some open space in Westminster, CO. Once the sun rose over the horizon, the clouds quickly enveloped the light and grey skies ensued.

Seeing that the weather was so nice today my Father and I decided to once again go out and do some photography. We originally drove through Leyden but ended up just walking around Mower Reservoir.

So today I decided to finally wake up to catch the sunrise. It was a rather lackluster one but the crisp air made it wonderful! After hiking around for a bit I heard the howling of the Coyotes but alas I couldn’t spot them.

A friend and I decided to checkout Mower Reservoir this afternoon. Its great to see things starting to get green!…..…

In the morning my Father and I headed to Trailhead Park in Thornton. The lack of a sunrise and limited scenery made this trip rather unproductive. But luckily the afternoon was gorgeous! With the temps in the upper 60′s and sun shining brightly my friend and I headed to Mower Reservoir in Westminister.

I decided to head to Mower Reservoir which is located 10 minutes from my house. To my pleasant surprise everything was still green and looked very much like Spring. There were lots of wildlife sightings that included red-tailed hawks, coyotes and the ever present black-tailed prairie dogs.

My Father and I finally got out and photographed for the first time in weeks….We decided to check out Mower Reservoir to see if the waters were no longer ice.

After a few weeks of no images, I finally decided to brave the pre-dawn temperatures at Mower Reservoir. The reservoir resides on Westminster Open Space Land and is near my home in Arvada, CO. On this particular morning there were numerous Coyotes around along with a few types of birds.

I heard that there was going to be a total Lunar Eclipse tonight and so I woke up at 2:30am. I headed to Mower Reservoir and had clear skies overhead!…..…
